What Guides Every Visit

Clarity you can use to make the right decision.

Fireplaces, chimneys, and venting systems can include concealed components, specialized installation requirements, and conditions that aren't visible from inside the living space. Whether you're buying a home, preparing one for sale, responding to a home inspector's recommendation, evaluating an existing system, or documenting a more complex concern, Premier Hearth & Home provides focused inspection and clear written documentation.

Full-system evaluation

We evaluate accessible components of the fireplace, chimney, appliance, and venting system using inspection methods appropriate for each system. Depending on the property and available access, the inspection may include camera evaluation, photographs, measurements, and examination of accessible attic or chase areas. Findings may also be compared with applicable codes, industry standards, product listings, and manufacturer instructions.

Clear Professional Report

Each inspection includes a clear, organized report with photos, measurements, observed conditions, inspection limitations, and recommended next steps. Our goal is to provide clear documentation so clients and other professionals can easily understand the findings and make informed decisions about any action needed.

Inspection Focused Service

Our fees cover only the inspection, documentation, analysis, and professional report. Because we do not profit from any repairs that may be recommended, there is no conflict of interest. This allows homeowners, buyers, sellers, realtors, and home inspectors to receive an independent and unbiased evaluation.

What We Service

One technician, every fuel type — plus the vent everyone forgets.

Three fireplace types side by side: wood-burning fireplace, gas fireplace insert, and pellet stove
Wood · Gas · Pellet

Every Hearth Appliance, Thoroughly Inspected

Wood, gas, and pellet systems each have unique components, operating characteristics, and potential concerns. Our training across all three allows one qualified technician to provide a comprehensive evaluation using the appropriate inspection methods and tools.

Our primary focus is inspection and documentation. When repairs such as liner replacement, masonry reconstruction, or appliance installation are needed, we clearly document our findings in an effort to aid you when it comes to selecting the appropriate qualified contractor.

Beyond The Firebox

What's actually inside the system.

A fireplace or dryer looks simple from the room it sits in, but the full system usually runs through walls, framing, and roofline before it ever reaches outside air. That's where most of the real problems live.

  • Flue liners
  • Smoke chambers
  • Damper assemblies
  • Connector pipe
  • Chimney caps
  • Crown & flashing
  • Firebox refractory panels
  • Hearth extensions
  • Gas valves & ignition systems
  • Pellet augers & hoppers
  • Vent routing & clearances
  • Termination caps
  • Framing clearances
  • Dryer duct runs

How We Work

Clear Process. Professional Reporting.

01

Submit an Inspection Request

Provide the property address, number and type of systems, purpose of the inspection, and any applicable deadlines.

Submitting a request does not confirm an appointment. We first review the property location, scope of inspection, number of systems, scheduling needs, and availability.

02

Inspection and Documentation

We inspect accessible components of the fireplace, chimney, appliance, and venting system using methods appropriate for each system and assignment.

The inspection may include photographs, measurements, internal camera evaluation, and examination of other accessible areas when applicable.

03

Analysis and Reporting

Inspection findings are reviewed, organized, and documented in a clear, professional report.

When applicable and reasonably available, findings may be compared with relevant codes, standards, product listings, and manufacturer instructions.

04

Clear Next Steps

The report clearly identifies significant findings, inspection limitations, and recommended next steps, providing clients and other involved professionals with the information needed to make informed decisions.
